Here’s your first look at singer’s All-star album to be released in 2020
While Nigeria is certainly on course to fail to meet her Millenium
Development Goals of free food, light and weed for every citizen of the
United States of Nigeria, Humblesmith is gearing up for an album.
We all love Humblesmith. From
hawking sweet wraps of Moi Moi, covered in tin foil (not leaves), the
singer has made the journey into becoming a star! In the history of
celebrity grass to grace stories, it beats others by a mile.
Personally, I think it holds the capacity to make 7 halls filled with
deathrow executioners to say ‘Aww’ and simultaneously wipe a tear. It
even beats Patoranking’s ‘rat poison’ story, and Di’Ja’s ‘waitress’ tale
of suffering.

Enough sad talk, let’s move to lighter things.
Humblesmith, before he blew with ‘Osinachi’, and became an overnight
star in many parts of the country, had released 6 songs, working day and
night to rise above his situation. Growing up as a kid, he spent
endless nights in the wilderness, fasting, praying and celebrating Seyi
Shay’s arse, while claiming to be Psquare’s younger brother that got
missing during the Nigeria civil war.
How sad. Give him a hug when you see him, you hear?But as things have become better, he is now a star, he has plans to drop
his debut album in 4 years. While Nigeria is certainly on course to
fail to meet her Millenium Development Goals of free food, light and
weed for every citizen of the United States of Nigeria (shout out to my
homie, Dalung, for the name), we can all be consoled that we will be
getting a Humblesmith album. Yes, a Humblesmith album to cure all of our
ills, erode corruption, and feed the poor in our darling Nigeria.
So no matter your situation now, you can rest easy in
the knowledge that Jesus…sorry, Humblesmith is coming soon. This will
be his first coming, where he will gather the children of bondage, and
set them free with his music.
The title of the
album will be called Humble Star, a name selected by 7 native doctors
from the hinterland of Enugu. But the way he will sell it to us will be:
“I have come a long from my career, staying humble, but working
hard not to sell Moi Moi and be a star. That’s why my album will be
named “Humble Star”.
There will be no creative direction and conceptual curriculum for the album. It’s too simple.
To
get how the album will go, just look at all his most recent songs.
Davido, Phyno, Harrysomng, Flavour, and many more will be on the album.
It will be an All-Star album, including Small Doctor, the great Vic O,
and an intro from DJ Khaled…and 2pac Shakur.
The
singer blew with a collaboration with Phyno, and a remix of that
collaboration with another collaboration with Davido. Then followed
another collaboration with Flavour, and another one with Harrysong.
